Message from TN Republican Party Chairman, Chris Devaney
We have a unique opportunity in this election cycle. With the high unemployment rate, teenagers are having a hard time finding part-time jobs, as they are replaced by those who have been laid off. As a result, many more teenagers and young adults are tuning into this election, and contacting our office looking for opportunities to get involved. They care about what is going on and the outcome on November 6th. Now is our opportunity to help encourage and educate teenagers and young adults about the true core values of the Republican Party.
On February 25, 2012 we will be holding a “TNGOP University” training conference along with the Tennessee College Republican Convention, and announcing a new statewide program of the Tennessee Teenage Republicans. The Tennessee Republican Party and Hobart Rice, chair of the County Parties for 2012 Victory Subcommittee, will be working to establish chapters in counties throughout Tennessee.
As State Executive Committee Members and County Chairs, you are undoubtedly more in tune with your local communities and schools. For this program to be successful, we are looking for hardworking teenagers who would be interested in starting a chapter in their county. If you could help us identify teenagers who would potentially be a good match to lead this program in your county, please let Taylor Tompkins (taylor@tngop.org) with the Tennessee Republican Party know.
